Deepika was born 5 January 1986 in Copenhagen, Denmark to the family of professional badminton player and travel agent. She has one younger sister. Her family moved back to India, when Deepika was a little child. Padukone started with badminton and modeling at young age, but eventually choose an acting career. Her first big role was Aishwarya in the 2006 movie of the same name. She later appeared in many more movies and her latest film is 2013 Ram Leela.
